Hurricane city

I went to spend my normal Sunday with my boyfriend in NY. We watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Can you say looooong movie?! I liked it more than I disliked it, so it's good in my book. After the movie and lunch he decided that we should spend the BEAUTIFUL DAY shopping in the city! So, we got ready and headed out. It was indeed really nice out.. probably the nicest it has been in a while. It wasn't too hot, nor was it cold or anything. It was just right. We hopped on the subway and headed to the city. The train was paaacked and it took forever! After we got off, he realized that we took the train that was further away from the store so we had to walk a bit. It was fine since it was nice out. We got to the store and there was a little line waiting outside.

The Marc Jacobs Special Items Store is literally the size of my room. It's always packed with people from all over! We had to wait for a couple of people to leave the store before we got to enter because it was just that small and that packed. Finally, it was our turn to go in. When you enter this tiny little store, you see an assortment of different colors of everything on selves or in little crates. Everything's clustered together and people are shoving around trying to get from one end of the little store to the other end of the little store, lol. I have a minor case of closter phobia so I tried to stay away from the shoving people, lol. As my boyfriend and I picked out some stuff that we wanted to purchase, I look outside the glass door and I see that the BEAUTIFUL DAY has officially turned into a monster. It was hurricaning outside, no joke. I stared at my boyfriend as my jaw dropped to the floor and the only thought that ran through my mind was.. "we are umbrella-LESS!" Thankfully, the Marc Jacobs Special Items Store sold umbrellas, which were flying off the selves at this point. It was 18$ + tax for an umbrella but who caaaares?! Do you want to get hurricaned on? I don't! So, it was the perfect opportunity for me to buy a cute umbrella ;] Too bad all the umbrellas there weren't cute. I rumaged through the endless selves of umbrellas with the same exact patterns in different colors and I finally came across ONE leopard print umbrella, ONE. And that ONE leopard print umbrella just had to be OPENED (asdfghjkl;'). I was just unsatisfied with the fact that I had to spend 18$ + tax on an umbrella that I didn't like, so my boyfriend reached up on a taller self and magically pulled out a brand new unopened leopard print umbrella. He is my hero :D I love leopard print. That umbrella was just a must have because at this point, the nasty hurricane was going to pass at any moment, but I didn't care (hehehe). After the disgusting rain passed by, we went to Magnolia Bakery right on the corner. This little bakery is 1/2 the size of the Marc Jacobs Special Items Store and on a good day usually there's a line that runs around the corner of people waiting to get pastries. Since the weather was hideous, there was no line! So, it was the perfect chance to snag a cupcake or two :] I was so excited.

I am determined to go back and try every single one. One day, one day, hahaha. I ate the Chocolate Buttermilk one when I got home by myself and I actually really liked that one. It wasn't one of the "Special Cupcakes", but whatever. The Chocolate Buttermilk Cupcake is special to me, lol. The "Special Cupcakes" are 3$ each. The Red Velvet one was a special one, lol. The Buttermilk Cupcakes are 2.50$. They have a lot of other cute desserts. I will definitely be stopping by that store again.

Aside from my spontaneous spendings at the Marc Jacobs Store and at Magnolias, one of my goals that day was to get a rubber protector thingy for my new iTouch. My cousin gave me this iTouch back in April or May, but I didn't open it until a couple of days ago. I guess I was just lazy, but I thought school was starting in a month so I should get used to this thing before it's too late. That goal was a failure, hahaha. If the weather stayed nice, we would've eventually made our way from Bleeker St. to SOHO to Chinatown probably, but noooooo. That obviously didn't happen because I don't have my iTouch protector :[

That was my Sunday in the city. I really, really, really, really, really hope that the weather starts getting better. I say this everytime, but really.. it's just so depressing to check weather.com and see that it's going to "t-storm" every single day of forever. So much for summer, really. One more month of summer vacay. Pray for nice weather! I'll leave this entry with a pair of pumps I saw last Friday when I was on my way to dinner with T*:

Once again, it's raining! Can someone please explain to me why the weather just wants to torture us? Thank goodness I don't have work today, not that I work outside or anything but this weather just makes me not want to leave home, period. I slept in and then decided to get up and make some pasta. I actually made the same exact pasta last night because Wednesdays are officially "Pasta Night" but I ended up packing 1/2 of it up for T* and the other 1/2 for my boyfriend. Sooo, since it was really good pasta, I decided to make it again for myself ;p

I enjoy cooking :] I'm not great at it, but I enjoy trying new things and learning. My boyfriend is my chef, hehe. He cooks for me all the time, but recently I've been cooking so he's taking a little break and enjoying my amazing cooking skills :D

So, the 90% of the time that I don't cook, I eat out lol. As of right now I work every Mon, Weds, and Fri and usually my co-workers and I order out for lunch at some place near by. When the weather's nice, I'll usually volunteer to drive down the street to the Dunkin Donuts near by to pick up a quick brunch for everyone.

That's usually my pick for a quick and easy brunch when I'm at work, but since the weather has been nasty, no one wants to go out to pick anything up so we resort to any place that delivers, lol. My office manager and my boss seem to love Quiznos. Quiznos is alright. It's nothing special to me. I'm usually a chicken person, but for some reason I wanted to try this:

Ok! Enough about food, lol. I was at my boyfriend's house this past weekend and I asked him if I could take a picture of all his hats and he managed to dig up a "few".

A while back, I was at Flushing with my boyfriend and he took me to Toy Qube. He pointed at this little box on the counter and told me to buy one for him. It was only like 4-5$ so why not? It was the Kidrobot Super Mini Keychains Series 4. He opened it immediately when we got outside to find out what he got because it's a blindbox. When he opened it, he revealed to me that he had gotten the plain gray one called "Slate". Unsatisfied with what my boyfriend just got, I went back in the store determined to get another one and so I did. I came back out and I opened it and I got.. THE NINJA! :o I gave it to my boyfriend and told him he had to love them all equally, LOL. A week or so afterwards, I was at the local mall with T* and I went into the store Metropark to check out a couple of things and I saw the same little box of toys on the counter so I just HAD to buy 2. I paid and I opened my first box immediately and I got.. THE MUMMY. It must've been beginners luck, hahaha. I just got the 2 rarest ones. I opened up the second one I bought and I got the robot in a bear suit. They're so cute. And for a while, I was addicted to buying them, but I stopped :[ I really wanted the astro one too.. because it's holding a little ice cream cone.

That's all for now. I'm hoping that we'll see better weather in August so that I can go to Six Flags at least once and hit up the beach maybe one more time.

I was looking through the internet where I came across a article about a famous artist being arrested. Zev is a french graffiti artist known for putting shadows on street poles and benches and also putting drip marks on certain logos on buildings, which is a great scenery and interesting to view. Zev was caught putting up a Chanel sign on a Giorgio Armani building in china. He was caught at 3 am and was arrested for vandalism. The Feds say he is being charged big bucks for staining the building considering he said he only used water paint which comes off easily. He has been "bombing" all over New York and Paris for sometime now and it has never been this serious. The many artist doing this know the risk of what can happen, but the thrill of putting your art up on a worldwide public view can easily make people ponder who has done it, recognizing your fame and talent.

< This is what the majority of the summer of 2009 has looked like. Check weather.com, I'm not lying. It's great, (not)! I've gone to the beach once and visited the pool no more than 5x. Luckily I soak in the sun quick so I managed to get somewhat of a nice tan. Because I am incapable of doing any outdoor activities, I have no choice but to resort to any type of activities indoors. Now what better indoor fun is there than.. SHOPPING! YES. Because of this nasty weather, I've done nothing but flush my hard earned $ down the toilet and I will share a couple of items that I've bought! :D

Ohh! I went to see Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince this weekend when my cousin came down to visit me and I must say, the movie was just alright. I mean, it wasn't bad? But, it wasn't exactly good. Let's just say it was a bit disappointing because it was vague. Sooo, I decided to read the book! I've had this book for ages and I've just been neglecting it because of my laziness.

T-shirts for the summer ;)

Summer is officially here and I would like to ask what are all the guys wearing? The shirt you are wearing is the second thing a person sees after your face, so a good shirt would mean a good impression. We all have been in the position where we stand looking at our closet wondering to ourselves "what we are going to wear today," right? Well we all know putting an outfit together is a hard and difficult progress because to dress well is to feel confident about your selves. Letting others know that you can dress means a higher ego boost for yourself and a step in the ladder of feeling good.

For me the best way to put it together is through simplicity than through contrast. In the summer times I love wearing plain, simple, solid color shirts. It's a cheap investment and very fashionable if you know how to wear it. Let's start with the overly abused plain White T-shirt. I am pretty aware that we all have worn a plain White T-shirt before and have thought nothing of it, but a White T-shirt can also be a fashion statement! I love wearing White T-shirts because it is simple, it keeps you cool from the sun, and it isvery cheap! But to spice up my outfit I always and always accessorize.

The different types of white T-shirt is endless and people might not even think of that. There is the Henley shirt which is the regular round neck. There is the ringer Tee which has a thick outer layer on the sleeves of the shirt and around the neck. Than there is the New and favorite V-neck shirt (which is my favorite!) But how long the V in the shirt gives us a lot of options. Girls! You guys are allowed to wear White T-shirts also! The tight Long V on a white T shirt is very sexy. Everyone knows that the accessory you wear makes up your whole outfit. The bland white T-shirt is the paint canvas for your outfit! Enhance your outfit with accessories (for me personally i love wearing bracelets.) A necklace, a bracelet, a bag, a pair of sunglasses, a hat and even a presentable belt is a huge factor in a outfit. Accessorizing is very important for those who want to look great under the radar. At first glance no one ever realizes the accessory but for the people who do scope you out and scan you, they will know the deal is about your plain white T- shirt. We should all enjoy the summer weather with a simple clean look and always keep in mind every little item of clothes counts.

FML. I wrote a long ass entry and it got deleted. :(

Here we go again. So this is my first post (I was threaten to post or else, M* would make another blog. DAMN YOU) So anyways, this is going to be a really random entry. Here we go. hahah.

HISTORY of WLOVE: So you may be curious why we name our blog "WLOVE".. no, it's not because "W" is our favorite letter, here's what happened. Several years ago, Prison Break was really popular and I found out the main character's name was Wentworth Miller. We both thought that the name was really funny so when we were watching "Pride and Prejudice", we would say "WENTWORTHHHHH~" in a British accent. We were dying of laughter and literally rolling on the floor because it was so funny. So we've been calling each other that ever since. So now you know ;]

Anyways, so I work at a dentist office and I was stretching since it was a long day. All of a sudden, I see my co-worker taking a picture of me with her camera phone. I'm thinking 2 things: "NOOOOOOOO~ DELETE" and "DAMN, you're so quick!". She even posted this fabulous picture of me on facebook. HOW EMBARASSING O.O" But it was all jokes and fun~

Anyways so I love watching Korean dramas, and I'm currently watching 2 called Triple and Partner. I'm also watching a Taiwanese Drama called "Romantic Princess" (WU CHUN<3).

These two screencaps are from Ep. 8. The first picture.. his real name is Song Joong Ki as Ji Poong Ho. He was looking for Lee Haru (the main girl that he likes) because he won the gold medal in Speed Skating. She wasn't at the skating rink because she injured herself and went back to her hometown in the countryside so I thought this screencap was so cute because he was so worried. And he won the gold medal just for her. AW ;]

And the second picture is JaeWon? I think. I don't know his real name, but I thought this screencap was cute because he's holding his toothbrush LOL. (Screencaps by me ;])

Saving the best for last. Last night, a bunch of my guy friends and 2 of my girlfriends went to the Yankee game. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN. Great energry and we sat at the bleacher seats. I'm a HUGE Yankee fan, and this was the second game I've been to at the new Yankee Stadium. I didn't get a chance to go to the old stadium so I guess this makes up for it ;] But anyways, we were losing 3-2 against the Detriot Tigers until Mark Teixeira hit a 3-run homerun. OMG. The crowd went WILD. This little boy in front of us was giving everyone high fives. hahaha. The only sucky thing that happened last night was it was raining like crazy. Thank god it didn't rain when me and my 2 girlfriends went to the club. We thought the club would suck but it turned out to be pretty decent. I had a banging night ;0]
